Our learning laboratory visited by Professor Richard Cook

– Published 31 January 2014

On January 30 we had the great privilege of having Sweden's first professor of patient safety, Richard Cook as a guest lecturer. At our learning laboratory "Critical Thinking in Safety" professor Cook spent a full day introducing our new students to the history of the discipline human factors. He also shared his thoughts on topics such as incident reporting, safety culture, cognitive work analysis. The entire day was a delighful interaction between professor Cook, the students and the whiteboard. It is likely that professor Cook's lecture style has been the role-model for the famous RSA-videos illustrating mind-blowing lectures on YouTube. We certainly hope to be able to welcome professor Cook back for future learning laboratories.
